A Goodbye to the Honda S2000

Article: It has not been not long since Honda announced that production would cease on the Honda S2000. The news was declared in January after poor sales continued to get worse.

The main and most successful marketplace for the S2000 was in America where it enjoyed great success in the early years. It was originally launched in 1999 to celebrate Honda’s 50th anniversary. However, sales of the roadster began to dramatically fall in 2006 and the trend continued year on year.

Although poor sales justify the news from Honda many believe that the S2000 is still one of the most entertaining and fun-to-drive roadsters around.
In particular the handling on the S2000 was often praised for being perfectly balanced. The little roadster almost gripped the road because of its fine balance. This little car was definitely designed to please the driver!

Honda are set to use the money saved from the S2000 to produce some more mainstream products. Rivals of the S2000 will be pleased production has ceased as the car was favoured by many – so if you’re after a fun little roadster what do you go for now?

The Nissan 350z is an obvious choice. However, your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Nissan 350Z than the Honda because of its bigger tank – so you wont be saving money at the pumps. Taller drivers will also far prefer the extra head room in the Nissan 350Z compared to the Honda – which will make for a more comfortable ride.

Another down point on the Nissan is that it is massively more bulky than the S2000, which some people may dislike. Another contender is the slightly more pricey Porsche Boxster. The Boxster is a true sportscar with excellent horsepower. The Porsche certainly packs a punch and beats the Honda is this particular battle. On the down side, cars with more horsepower often qualify for higher insurance premiums.
Hondas are renowned for their reliability which is definitely a good thing to know if you’re looking for a used Honda S2000 as you can rest assured knowing that its likely to keep running for years to come.

Drivers Increase Engine Performance with Inexpensive Horsepower Chips

How Do Horsepower Chips Work?

The car you drive is not like your parents’ car. Modern cars contain sophisticated computer systems that regulate a variety of engine conditions, most notably fuel flow. Electronic fuel injections allow a car’s “brain” much greater precision in controlling acceleration and engine performance. The problem is those computers may not be set up to give your engine the most power.

Horsepower chips work by intercepting signals from the car’s temperature sensor. Those sensors tell the engine how hot the incoming air is so the engine can adjust the fuel mixture. The new chip adjusts these temperature readings so the fuel injection system will think it is hotter or colder than it really is and adjust fuel flow accordingly.

The driver has finer control and is able to get both better acceleration and better gas mileage from these high performance chips. This is all done in a way that doesn’t void the owner’s warranty and doesn’t damage the engine or any other systems. Horsepower chips can be installed in minutes even by people with no technical expertise, and can be removed just as quickly with no permanent effects if that is what the owner wants.

Do They Really Do What They Claim?

People are suspicious of the performance of performance chips for two reasons. First, there are shady dealers out there who pass off cheap resisters as sophisticated fuel control systems. Others try to use a single control chip to service many different makes and models rather than optimizing chips for each car. These knockoffs are not the same as true horsepower chips.

Second, people are naturally hesitant when it comes to miracle cures. After all, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. However every now and then, products are available that really do the amazing things they claim.

To understand why horsepower chips work, you need to know some things about cars sold in this country. Laws govern automobile engines performance whether the car was made here or imported from another country. This restricts car makers from getting the most possible horsepower out of the engines.

Consumers are held to a different, laxer set of laws. They are allowed to modify their vehicles through methods the original manufacturers are forbidden to use. Modern engines are pushed to the limit allowed by law and it requires just a little nudge to push them over and get better performance.

Of course, not all of us are electrical engineers and can’t make control system modifications ourselves. This is where horsepower chips make our lives easier. The Aston Martin Racing Legacy

Article: The company had been inspired by touring cars for years and in 1923 the company introduced two modified versions of its cars in the French Grand Prix. Over the years the quality of the cars grew, but it wasn’t until David Brown took over the company in 1947 when the company seriously got into the field of auto racing.

Over the years there were many Aston Martin cars used in auto racing events. The biggest success for the company in its early years of racing was in 1959 when a DBR1 won the Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race and the World Sports Car Championship title.

Although a number of cars were used in racing during the twentieth century it wasn’t until 2004 that Aston Martin truly got back into the field of racing when it partnered with Prodrive to create the DBR9. This is a racing version of the company’s DB9 that featured a 6.0L V12 engine and a flat bottom for aerodynamic purposes. Carbon fibre materials are also used to help with reduce the car’s weight.

In recent years Aston Martin has also returned to endurance racing. This is where cars typically compete with teams of drivers in races that last about twelve to twenty-four hours. In 2007 Aston Martin brought a DBR9 to the Le Mans 24 Hours race and won in the GT1 class. The 009 DBR9, which is a variant of the vehicle with fuel economy in mind, won in the GT1 class in the 2008 Le Mans race.

Aston Martin is the only company in auto racing that has a car in all GT levels. The DBR9 is used in the GT1 class. The GT2 class features the Vantage GT2, the GT3 level has the DBRS9 and the GT4 class has the Vantage GT4. These are all variants of common Aston Martin cars.

The GT is a common term that is mentioned in the realms of racing. GT stands for Gran Turismo or Grand Touring. GT sports car racing has a long history, and its popularity has grown in recent years. Racing car designs are based on standard two-seater and coupe road models and sometimes these models drive on the public roads to get to different race venues.. But, after some significant re-working and the introduction of high performance modifications, the cars are capable of racing over long distances; anywhere between 200 and 3000 miles.

These race series are growing in stature as the category aims to develop into a world championship alongside Formula 1 and the World Rally Championship. As a result, many of the top sports car manufacturers have returned to production-based racing with Works teams. As stated above you can start drifting whenever you want and still be with it. Many people like to think of it as street racing but you are not street racing unless you are racing on the street although it is illegal to race on the street. If you haven’t been exposed to drifting before and you just starting then you need to take it slow in order for you to go fast you have to start out slow. You can take intro to drifting at many places.

Drift lessons are offered all around the United States all you have to do is look. Even though it isn’t where drifting came from you can find many places in California that will teach intro to drifting. The lessons can be taught to either men or women. All you need to do to find a lesson is look online and you should find something. If they are doing it in your area and you love to drift go for it.

You can most likely get involved with a drifting lesson and then start learning towards getting your license in no time at all. If they don’t exist in your area then you might have to just teach yourself if you have a good car to use such as a 240sx with a sr20det the sr20det was built by Nissan for drifting basically all you really need to do is add some sway bars, an LSD and some good tires and your good to go. Maybe a little tuning but all in all you will be doing good with a 240sx anytime. Well as a car journalist I have spent a large proportion of my time waiting around in car dealerships, either waiting to pick up the latest car or discuss the details with a sales person and from that I can tell you a few things about the way that customers are treated and what makes BMW service so special.

The company appears to have planned for every eventuality from the moment you first walk through the door. Most of their dealerships have invested in having a front desk, so you don’t end up aimlessly walking around the dealership looking for someone to talk to. It’s from here that the great BMW service begins with a friendly face that can help guide you to where you need to go. I have wasted 20 minutes in a busy Vauxhall dealership before just trying to find the correct person to speak to.

The quality of the BMW service doesn’t change as you continue to go further through the dealership; all the service representatives have an intrinsic knowledge of each car in the range and provide you with helpful and knowledgeable advice.

If you have to go to the parts department, then you don’t have to worry about being confused or baffled by bewildering technical speak. The parts department have been schooled in the art of BMW service and help you out with a range of helpful diagrams that help to pinpoint the problems and parts needed.

It says wonders about the infrastructure that the company have put in place that the company managed to win this survey without even trying. A few companies like Audi, VW and Vauxhall could learn a thing or two from the examples set by BMW.

Other dealerships that I have had to pop into for work have seemed bland and confusing. The sales teams have seemed uninterested in supplying a journalist with information and it just hasn’t made me look forward to visiting them in the future.

I still think that people buy BMW cars because they are good cars, but at the end of the day providing a good service does go a long way to ensuring that customers come back again and again. A History Of Women In Motorcycling

Article: The most common image of a motorcyclist is a large weathered man with tattoos and leathers, flying down the highway on a chopper with his long hair streaming behind him. But what’s missing from this picture? Motorcycles are often associated with men, but women have been riding, enjoying, and accomplishing daring feats on motorcycles just as long as men.

In the early days of motorcycles, around the late 1800s early 1900s, motorcycles were created as a means of faster transportation than a bicycle. In fact, early motorcycles were basically just bicycles with motors attached. These early machines were also much cheaper than cars. For this reason, they were considered a better option for transportation than cars and many families bought them in order to get their family from place to place. It wasn’t uncommon to see female riders on these motorized bikes.

In 1916 women weren’t allowed to vote, nor were they considered equals to men, but that didn’t stop adventurous women from proving they could accomplish great feats with courage and determination. Augusta and Adeline Van Buren were two sisters from New York City and descendents of former president Martin Van Buren. At the time, the nation was preparing to enter the battlefield of World War I. The Van Buren sisters wanted to prove that women could be trusted as reliable dispatch riders in the war. To do that, the two sisters planned to ride their motorcycles from the East coast to the West coast and become the first people to make the transcontinental journey on two solo motorcycles.

They were even arrested a few times on their journey, not for speeding, but for wearing men’s riding clothes, including leather jackets and leather leggings. During their journey they also became the first women to reach the summit of Pike’s Peak on motorcycles. These two pioneering sisters not only paved the way for all female motorcyclists, but for all strong, independent women.

During World War II several women made their mark as motorcyclists and racers, particularly Theresa Wallach of England who rode as a dispatch rider during the war. After World War II, several notable women helped pave the way for female motorcyclists including avid rider Margaret Wilson and stunt rider Debbie Evans. Today more and more women are enjoying the sport. Gone are the days when a woman could be arrested for wearing men’s riding leathers. Now there are riding clothes like women’s leather jackets made specifically for women who love to ride.
