Title: The Audi TT Motor Car
Article: There are quite a few people at my work who drive German engineered cars and one of the more popular of these located in the car park is the Audi TT. As the saying goes, you can imitate this car, but to duplicate it takes a lot more effort. You either have the know-how or you don’t. The Audi TT features the unique Quattro all wheel drive, where sensors adjust the power to all four wheels as it is needed. This helps to get the driver to have more control over the car. As a result it is easier to handle this car than most other types of cars through any type of weather situation.
Two different kinds of engines sizes available. The basic engine is the 2.0 TFSI. This 2.0L engine is a four cylinder engine with a six speed transmission. The 2.0L refers to the cubic centimeter capacity of the cylinders. Thus 2.0L is the same as 2000cc. A TT with this engine size costs $35,200. The next engine size up is the 3.2L V6 engine. The V6 refers to the shape of the cylinder blocks to each other; the V means that they are in a ‘V’ shape. This engine features a double overhead cam [i.e. two cam belts and therefore more power] injection system. Prices for this car start at $42,070.
Both of these cars employ the Audi Magnetic Ride feature. This works differently to most shock absorbers in that instead of using oil to dampen vibration, the Audi TT uses a special type of fluid whose viscosity [i.e. thickness of the oil] can be controlled through the use with an electromagnetic field. This helps to get the damping forces to work in most any driving situation and allows for a smoother, safer journey.
Another convenient feature of Audi TT is the Servotronic steering service. This form of power steering works by giving the correct amount of power steering assistance according to road speed. As a result it is easier to steer the car.
Of course there are many other features that make this one of the best Audi cars to check out. The headlights use gas discharge that can be electronically controlled. The tyres are self-supporting in that they maintain tyre pressure at a safe level and that they will continue to work in an event of sudden pressure loss.
Other [new] technologies are featured in the TT as well. The TT features a DVD based navigation system and Bluetooth capability. The Bose sound system features AudioPilot, a feature a measures noise levels and automatically adjusts sounds for balanced volumes. I learned how to rig a public address system a while back and the speakers they used were Bose. Bose are a quality make of speaker systems.
