After World War I, BMW was forced to stop their production of aircraft engines, because of the Treaty of Versailles. As a consequence, the company shifted to motorcycle production in 1923 after the rules of the treaty started to be lifted. They started to produce automobiles in 1928.

The company’s logo depicts a propeller cutting through the blue sky, it was an interpretation that was adopted for significance in 1929. The emblem evolved from the circular Rapp Motorenwerke company logo, from which BMW grew, combined with the blue and white flag of Bavaria reversed.

An undoubtedly amazing piece of motoring achievement. Its many models definitely appeal to a wide audience of consumers with a taste for the high life. The company’s luxurious cars filled to the brim with new and innovative technology, gadgets and gizmos come hand in hand with a feeling of style and sophistication that only BMW can achieve.
