Basically a hybrid car is a battery powered car and a gas powered car The battery drives the car until more horsepower is needed such as to get on the highway or interstate The battery will let you cruise I think of speeds up to 60mph but if you want to accelerate fast then you have to use the gas

Hybrid cars are simple really you just have batteries then you have the gas motor and then you have a transmission and gas storage As you may already know though it gets really good gas mileage because you don’t really need to use the gas motor unless you need to accelerate really quickly That is the secret behind the good mpg

The cool thing about the gas motor in hybrids is that you only need gas in the motor to power the generator that powers the batteries which drives the car So you only need enough gas to start the car really but it is good to have a full tank at all times as needed in case something did however fail

The new hybrids I think are pretty cool I mean you don’t have to fill up on gas that much because unless you are racing you do not need the gas you just need the batteries to be able to cruise I think it is a good idea and I would like to own a hybrid because of the gas prices these days Think about it you would be filling up maybe once a week that is pretty good you might even be able to make that last two weeks depending on how much that you drive around and how far you drive

They are coming out with new hybrids all the time and I am sure that soon they will be coming out with just a battery powered car that can speed and not need gas I think that would be the future that or hydrogen powered cars Maybe even propane but that’s still a gas just like hydrogen

So if you want a hybrid and you are tired of paying for gas then you need to get one and you would need one even more if you worked far from home because I am sure that if you are driving a regular gas powered car now you would be saving at least 60% if you converted to the hybrid These cars are very cool and save awesome amounts on gas and will let you just use the battery until you need to speed up for some reason So if you want one start looking today for your new hybrid you might find one that you like a lot

One of the best tips to find a used car is to locate retired couples or elderly folks who are selling their car If they are selling because the want to, not because they need to, congratulations, you have found your used car!

In the early 1900s not so long after the first real car was introduced, Germany started producing what would become noted as the first model car Back then, since it was around the time of war, the only people who could really afford these toys were the sons of rich businessmen These cars were called tin plate models The first Die cast ones though, did not come about until the late 1920s or the early 1930s By 1950 toy companies in Japan were producing these goods

If you’re one of those people like most of the world you probably choose your tire from reading the side label of your existing tire that came on the automobile when you bought it from the dealership But if you don’t know what you’re reading on your tire you might be losing and leaving out a whole bunch of new tire options Also after you compare your budget and what you can afford then you can start picking your tire of choice

If you go and read a car tire label you might reading this “P135/75R 15 25H” This whole car tire label sentence means a lot and has a lot of information in it But if you don’t know what any of this information means then how are you going to know what kind of tire to buy But here’s a little help that I’m going to give you

When you go look on your tire label there are 3 main first letters you going to be looking for The letters are: P is for four door sedan, LT is For Small truck or half ton truck, and T is for extra or temporary tire Then there are Numbers that follow the letters up above and these numbers indicate how wide the tire is in millimeters If a tire is smaller they will have smaller numbers and if there bigger they will have bigger numbers

The other numbers that follow after the numbers above represent the tires aspect ratio This is the percent of the tires main width such as a tire’s height is 75 percent of its width Non performance tires will have a higher number than performance tires

The letter that follows the aspect ratio of a tire is the Type of tire it is, such as “P” stands for performance tires and the number following the letter that stands for what type of tire it is, is the diameter of the tires and rim in inches

The Number that follows the type of tire and the diameter of the tire is the load index number This number indicates a tires load capacity If you take this number and look at load capacity chart it will give you how much all four tire can hold and have a load on them

The Last and final letter on the tire stands for how fast you can go with out damaging the tire If you go over the speed you shouldn’t go over you tire can get very hot and can and will separate from the belts witch means you will be driving on a unsafe tire These letters and speed ratings tell you how fast you may go with out damaging the tire or being unsafe

When you go and select new tires for any of you automobiles or any type of thing like that you want to be very careful when you buy them The main things you want to look for is that if there durable The other things you might want to look for are tread type, mileage warranty and other things like that Ask them about any things that you are unfamiliar with

The last thing is that it is going to be your money you’re spending when you go and buy a new set of tire for your automobile that means you want the safest and most depending tire for you money Many of the tire sizes and ratings on speed are pretty much all the same but make sure to read you owners manual just to be careful and make sure

Basics Of Operation

This part consists of a ceramic cylinder plated with platinum electrodes, contained in metal gauze It works by measuring the oxygen difference between the external atmosphere and exhaust fumes depending on resistance or voltage changes Due to the fact that the sensor is most effective at 1,500 degrees, newer models contain heating elements within the ceramic

The most common type is known as a zirconia sensor Constructed from a zirconium dioxide ceramic, dual electrodes produce a specific voltage corresponding to the difference between atmospheric oxygen content and exhaust If the voltage is approximately 0 2V, then the engine is burning a lean mixture, where there is an excess If the voltage is at 0 8V, then the engine is burning a rich mixture, where fuel is left unburned Ideally, the voltage should be at 0 45V, signaling that the fuel-to-air ratio is correct

Besides ceramic units, other technologies are employed, such as electrochemical, ultrasonic, infrared, and laser Each has their own unique set of pros and cons, such as accuracy, price, and operating range

The Role Of Fuel Mixtures

This particular part is able to improve car performance by monitoring oxygen content in real-time, feeding data to the electronic control unit and subsequently adjusting fuel injection to compensate

In an internal combustion engine, gasoline is burned in the presence of oxygen In order to maximize efficiency and provide the maximum amount of power, the engine needs to achieve the correct air-fuel ratio, known as the stoichiometric point The stoichiometric point varies depending on the substance being burned, but it is the point at which the amounts of oxygen and fuel are in perfect balance In gasoline, this is defined as 14 7:1 If the ratio is higher, then a rich burn results, while a lower ratio results in a lean burn (as I described above)

Besides being able to detect oxygen content, the part is also able to adjust in light of a wide range of variables, including altitude, barometric pressure, and engine load In the event of a sensor failure, the engine will keep running, but suffer a fuel efficiency drop and overall performance decrease
